The beautiful patio of The Castaway in Burbank, CA, was the perfect setting for an evening luau for the cast and crew of the hit TV show, NCIS. The party really picked up as the sun set in the west, and the tiki torches were lit, while colorful paper lanterns swung gently in the breeze above the crowd under a starlit sky. With all 10 of our artisans and 10 marbling trays going full bore, we were still able to enjoy the music and get a glimpse of hula dancing happening on the stage directly next to us. It was truly a night to remember!
Out of respect for our hosts and their guests, we did not do much picture-taking, so we don't have any celebrity photos to share. Suffice to say, it was AWESOME.
Our deepest thanks to the event coordinator, Erica McIntosh, for inviting us to be part of this truly stellar event.
A hui hou kākou, everyone!

"Gel-Git" is a Turkish phrase meaning "back and forth," and is the name of the basic chevron-like water marbling design formed by pulling the rake, comb or stylus back and forth through the paint.
We hope that this phrase will also describe our relationship with you and the many other folks with whom we have enjoyed sharing this beautiful art form.
Please feel free to contact us at any time with your photos, ideas, questions, event inquiries, or custom orders.
Star McCain and Philip Greenwood took a leap of faith, abandoning lucrative professional careers to follow their dream of working together to share the joy and beauty of water marbling on silk with others.
