It is astounding how one's life can change so dramatically in the click of a share button! It has been just over a year since that now-famous InsiderStyle video went viral.
This November marked the fourth year since the PopUp Marketplace a L.A. Live that launched our little water marbling business into the public eye. Back then, we had 23 followers on Facebook (we now have over 44,000); yet even then, we knew we had something special. We knew others would want to share in the magical art experience of painting on water, but we did not foresee how it would grow into a worldwide phenomenon. We are so proud of where we've been, and so abundantly grateful for the redemptive encouragement we daily receive from friends and customers who share our love for this art and our passion for sharing it with others. It is such a thrill to see our dreams - and theirs - take wings. December 10 marks the one year anniversary of the launch of our online course, which helped us connect with folks from all walks of life, in all parts of the world. It's mind-boggling to think that we have students in 15 countries on 6 continents! I can't imagine anything more gratifying than waking up every morning with messages from folks around the world expressing their appreciation for our art and their eagerness to experience it for themselves. It is heartwarming to see how our students are tapping into that eager enthusiasm as they launch their own businesses and projects in their own communities. Their stories are just unfolding; I smile at the familiarity of that feeling of beginning something brand new. When I stop to think about it, I know that we've found that magical, empowering place from which flows a never-ending sense of purpose, of renewal, and of hope. I could not ask for anything better than this.

"Gel-Git" is a Turkish phrase meaning "back and forth," and is the name of the basic chevron-like water marbling design formed by pulling the rake, comb or stylus back and forth through the paint.
We hope that this phrase will also describe our relationship with you and the many other folks with whom we have enjoyed sharing this beautiful art form.
