Hello Star and Phil!
First, a big THANK YOU for the amazing weekend we had with you! It was an incredible class- we learned so much from you, had a great time practicing, and it was fun getting to know other people who share our interest in water marbling. We can't wait to get started, and it seems that the others feel the same! This week has been crazy busy with designing the website, working with merchant services to get our credit card machine set up, and singing up for social media so we can hit the ground running. I'm hoping to attend our first event in the next month! We truly can't thank you enough, from the bottom of our hearts, for the invaluable information you shared and your sincere support. You are two of the kindest people we have ever met, and it means so much that you would share your success with us. Finally, we feel like we are exactly where we are supposed to be, and we can't be more excited for where this will go!

We had a great time at the Huntington Beach Pier on a recent warm July afternoon, marbling with this very personable young man, and visiting with his dad, David. Of course, we are always thrilled to see photos from our scarf-painting events, and David really caught the sense of art and fun that makes the Mayu Silk Art Experience so remarkable. For a real treat, notice the funny expressions on our faces in the last picture in this set!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Star!!!
The scarf came out beautifully!!
So glad we met you!
Hugs from Bella & Maria
We had a great time and learned soooooomuch.
It's always good to grow our minds and skills.
Phil is a character, Rita is delightful and you, you're SUPER!
Fandango & feathers were our favorites [referring to designs they learned]
Thank you very much for the wonderful time. Our scarves are beautiful and we will cherish them. Feel free to share any of these pictures. Thanks again on behalf of our entire family.
What a great turnout for the Get Down & Dirty event at our Newport office. A very special thank you to Mayu Silk Art- the scarfs came out beautifully!

Over the Thanksgiving weekend 2015, we had the treat of making scarves with Philadelphia Eagles long snapper Jon Dorenbos and his sweetheart, the delightful and talented Annalise. They discovered our booth while enjoying a day of sun and fun in Huntington Beach. After watching Phil do his famous demonstration of the art of water marbling, Jon and Annalise were ready to jump in. On their first round, they had a little friendly competition to see who could make the best scarf. (in the picture above, hers is on the left, and his is on the right). They returned the next day to make a few more, including a gorgeous sunset-themed scarf they made together, even as the sun was setting over the Pacific just behind our booth.
We were tickled to see their subsequent posts on Instagram and other social media:
Over the holidays missannalisedale and I painted silk scarfs with @mayusilkart - we had a blast.… instagram.com/p/-1YnVxJsZt/
missannalisedale Best date night! We had so much fun. Mine was the winner
What fun we all had yesterday at your class at Huntington Landmark. Thanks so much. My scarf is hanging on the door, looking pretty! Thanks so much!
This is silk painting in a beautiful way. Star and the Mayu Silk Art crew bring all of the materials and teach you how to do it. This is done on cool water tables. Really a neat, fun technique!!! The colors are gorgeous!!! You pick your colors and they help you with your design. Really beautiful results too!!!

Saw you at the Studio City faire on Mother's Day... Please add me to your newsletter list for current events open to the public. I've told several others about your fun event. And already checked out your FB page.
Congratulations on adding more Beauty to our World.
Young Jonathan (age 7) and his dad, Earl, visited our booth at the San Diego County Fair on June 7. Jonathan was a real natural at water-marbling. He made an absolutely stunning Bouquet design for his mom. This is one of the most complex designs we do, and Jonathan listened to instructions and took the reins. His father emailed us some video and photos that evening, and wrote,
"Yes! It was a great confidence builder for him and he is really excited about presenting to his mom. I will be sure to get a picture when he makes the presentation. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of the fair."

Having Star and Oliver here on our first Valentine's Day celebration at the yoga studio was such an amazing event!
Star was so knowledgeable and letting everyone know where Silk Art came from and the rich history it has… Making everyone feel less nervous about being creative , maybe even for the first time in their lives! The scarves that came out were as individual as the students are!
We will happily be working with them several times a year as this event was so amazing to all of the students ...they can't wait to make another one !
Thank you again for your professionalism and bringing such a beautiful art form to my students!
Peace and Blessings,
Susan Johnston, ERYT 200 & RYT 500
We can't help but blush at all the compliments we've received!
